As promised...my current creations

As promised last night..some images of what l have been creating lately! Hope you like them.
The first image is of a decorated cuff made from an Eucayptus dyed and bundled old wool blanket, decorated with embroidery and found buttons. First image-open cuff.
2nd image..cuff fastened and the lining is Eco-dyed silk.
This image is of another cuff but it is not finished yet.
This image is of a pendent made from the same dyed wool blanket and then decorated. I still have to put a "cord" on it yet.
The last image is of all the eco-dyed papers l created. They now have to be made into several books. Really liked the way the papers turned out and so enjoyed decorating them ...l shall be doing a lot more l think!

While my wonderful husband and son sorted out my flyers and studio yesterday, l spent my usual Saturday at Brick Box. We had a great day concentrating on Mazes and this is the beginning of the Maze being built by Brick Box artists.
So for today we concentrated on Mazes. Firstly we had some mazes to complete on paper, from simple to very complicated ones.

They then went from paper to completing or designing their own 3D maze .

Then we went on to the actual maze... which was greatly enjoyed. Some children were quite reluctant to go in on their own, others ran straight into it and others just stood and looked! I found l had to sort of kidnap the children and then the adults were quite happy to let them or even join in, in some cases! I really enjoyed watching the children become more and more confident the longer they stayed in there.

An English Bulldog, or so l am told! Very cute looking although l don't like this breed at all.
This is the table all ready for the Leather Workshop which was also being held today. Adults and children made some wonderful accessories.

This is one of a pair of leather earrings a wonderful young lady of 7 made for me... so sweet.
These are some of the wonderful things you will find in Terry's vintage shop in Tooting Market.
This young lady had been running around the maze and then just sat down and slumped. Was so funny to watch! Ha
She then went and borrowed one of my boxes and started to use it as a pretend car, included all the movements and noises! Was so sweet to watch. I have always said to parents to forget expensive toys and just give them lots of large cardboard boxes! Ha!

She has such wonderful facial expressions!

It was a fun day!

grr...l hate graphic design problems!

Not much to show or talk about today except.....l am at my wits end trying to design my flyer(or leaflet as my printer keeps calling it!) , sort out getting all my art stuff from home to the studio and a dozen other things that keep going wrong!!Grrrrrrrrr!! Was so uptight with everything this afternoon, l went and had coffee...very pretty!

Then on way back to studio found this ..just right for the dye pot..Life doesn't look too bad after all!!xx

my studio..a bird's wing and life!

My studio is starting to take shape........
When l was out today, saw this on the stone wall and from a distance l thought it was a sick bird. Then l looked again and realised there was just the wing. A cat(?) certainly knew how to cut this bird up!
There are times l am glad of my nice warm flat, especially as it has been sooooo cold this last week or so!
Today's self portrait..Happy Valentine's Day to my gorgeous husband and all my wonderful blogger friends.

Weather and The Brick Box

My latest eco-dyed paper is now dry, ironed and ready to be worked. I decided to draw on this one, rather than sewing. I started by drawing round the leaf imprints with a permanent black marker and then sat and looked at it for a while! I decided to use permant markers on it and just doodle. Wanted to give the book an ancient feel.......

This is the first page finished..very pleased with it.

Right back to my day.....As it is Saturday it must be a Brick Box day!
Doesn't blue sky make a big difference to an image? Remember yesterday's image of my flats, snow and grey sky?!!!

One of the very large, beautiful houses around me is being renovated.....look what l saw had been riped out today. Oh l hope they put it back...it is gorgeous.
The next few images show you "Nature" on my walk to the bus stop.

Come rain..or snow...it doesn't stop them running......

Hello Brick Box.
Today's the Art Project was making Valentine Cards. I had some new faces today and some regulars. A gorgeous brother and sister who had not been before....amazing Art work.

This is my 2 year old Spanish whirlwind who attends most Saturdays!!
Oldest of the three brothers.
Very cute younger brother.....
Feeling very sick "middle" brother but still managed to make a beautiful card for his parents. He did try to smile by saying "chocolate" but it didn't really work..poor little one.

The evening was very cold.....

Home sweet home!
