paper dyeing and The VERY hungry caterpillar!

I have been so busy trying to get my Art Workshops up and running, and my blog has suffered a bit! So tonight l thought l would show you what l have been upto in my own Art Practice. I have been experimenting with paper and blackberries and a few found flowers and leaves. I am very pleassed with the end results.

I decided today to re-start my silk painting. Oh dear! Not happy with the results but then l have not been painting for months and l have to say it shows!!!!

The last image is of my newly painted studio walls in the main Art Studio. I must admit l am very pleased with the results of The VERY hungary caterpillar! The 3 year old that came into the studio today said, " Oh wow!". Which says it was all worth it to me!

If a 3 year old said Wow, you did indeed nail it; do you guys use that expression? Anyway, lovely to see you back; am enjoying watching all the printing on paper work you and others are doing..I started as a paper collage artist and moved to other fibers and once I am a bit more proficient with the silks and wooly stuff..maybe it will be back to the paper. Good luck with your Art Workshops..and Is your foot all healed..or well on its way, Lynda?

Oh Lynda, I've been wondering where you've been and what you've been up to. Lovely to see your blog post, and yes, you have been very busy. Gorgeous blackberry and leaves dyed pieces, and your studio wall is brilliant too, bet the kids you have in there will absolutely love it. Hopefully I'll see it for myself one day, MUST get around to paying a visit!

"oh wow" is right!!! How joyful a room is that! The paper studies with blueberries are wonderful... you could use THOSE Eric Carle style in something down the road, couldn't you?
